This is so distrubing...

One evening as Renee and I were flipping through our channels we stumbled upon a disturbing show called, Toddler and Tiaras which was aired by TLC (The learning channel) The premise of this despicable reality show was about little girls entering beauty contests.  (Most of the contestants were under 10 years old.) Most disturbing of all was the fact that these innocent little girls had to dress in bikinis and even had to spray tan their bodies, and tape their bikini bottoms in order for their behinds to look more presentable.  More idiotic than this were the hapless parents who supported these girls and even coached them on how to act in these pageants.  Don't these moronic parents know that what they are doing is exploiting their children at the expense of their God given dignity?  Do these parents remember the tragedy of Jonbenet Ramsey? Who was also heavily involved in pageants?  Now think about it for a second, what if a pedophile watches this show? This show offers him to opportunity to A) fantasize about these girls, or either B) or even worse the opportunity to stalk one of these children.  I know that this might sound extreme, but to evil and depraved men who are pedophiles nothing is too extreme to satiate their lust for child exploitation.  The sad reality is that these children are being exploited by unscrupulous T.V. networks, and stupid, idiotic parents. How many more Jonbenet's do we need until we learn our lesson?  Check out this clip and read this article.
